Julien Deniau aka Unavista Julien is a French photographer, painter, and skateboarder who has lived between Barcelona and Paris since 2000. He has worked as a freelance photographer and filmmaker for French TV and skateboard magazines in Europe and internationally for more than 30 years, which has given him the opportunity to travel to numerous countries and document these journeys. In 2005, he developed an interest in painting and drawing, which allowed him to express himself in new ways, beyond photography and video. For him, skateboards became the best canvas he could use. He works exclusively with used skateboards because recycling is very important to him, and he finds it fascinating to give a second life to skateboards that have been used in the streets, transforming them into pieces of art.
